Top 10 Taylor Swift Songs
These are the top 10 best Taylor Swift songs of all time. You don't have to agree with me on this, but this is the correct ranking. We'll start from ten, and work our way to one, the best song of all time.
10. The Other Side of the Door, Fearless
This song is number ten because, at the end of the song she has a big "rant", as she likes to call it. It really makes the whole song better because it builds to this big moment that is so memorable and loved by so many people.
9. The Lucky One, Red
This song is one of the best on Red. It talks of the struggles of constantly being in the spotlight. On the outside, you seem like the luckiest person in the world, while in reality, you are far from it.
8. right where you left me, evermore
Added as a bonus track on the deluxe edition of the album, this song tells of a girl who is stuck in a moment in time. She was broken up with by her long-time partner after he told her that he had found another person he wanted to be with. She is living this moment in repeat, stuck in the delusions of what could have been if they had stayed together.
7. New Year's Day, reputation
This song makes the perfect closing to the album that she wrote when she was hated by most of the world. In contrast to other songs on the album such as "Look What You Made Me Do" or "I Did Something Bad", this song is a beautiful song about being in love with someone and having a moment that was so perfect that makes you not be able to see the rest of your life without them. She says in the song, "Please don't ever become a stranger whose laugh I could recognize anywhere". When you find that person you know you could spend your life with, you don't want to imagine a time when you wouldn't be with them anymore.6. this is me trying, folklore
This song is one of the saddest songs Swift has ever released. She sings about becoming burned out and losing sight of who you used to be. Everyone criticizes you because you once were so much more than the person you are now, but they don't understand that this is all you have left to give/
5. The Archer, Lover
This song shows the struggles of anxiety. The lyrics show the thoughts of a person who is struggling with anxiety and having a panic attack. You wonder if people can see how you feel and if they can tell that you are losing your mind.
4. illicit affairs, folklore
This song is about getting out of a toxic relationship that you are attached to. This was the person you would've done anything for, but they betrayed you and hurt you in a way you could never imagine.
3. Clean, 1989
This song is about the feeling you get when you get out of a relationship that you feel better off without. That feeling of relief, knowing that you needed to leave that person, no matter how hard it was.
2. You Are in Love, 1989
Featured only on the deluxe edition of the album, this song is about the slow build-up of friends into a relationship. The kind of thing where everyone could see that there was something there, but it took some time before you could make something of it.
1. Last Kiss, Speak Now
This is the number-one song for so many reasons. It is one of the most heart-wrenching songs she has ever released. it is about the feeling you get after breaking up with the person who meant so much to you, that you couldn't imagine a world where you weren't together. The kind of heartbreak only time can heal. The raw emotion put into every line and note in the song is what makes it so incredible.
